A project in Kampot providing opportunities for the deaf and disabled communities. Epic Arts encourages integration and helps change perceptions of disability within society. Epic Arts Cafe offers employment to deaf and disabled members of the community, a meeting place and workshop area, exhibition space for local artists and an excellent spot to enjoy fresh cakes, bagels and drinks, breakfast or lunch snacks. Workshops use mediums including Khmer and contemporary dance and theatre, drama, art and craft, music and puppetry. Professional touring dance/drama performances also help create awareness and support within society. Pop in to Epic Arts Cafe to find out more, meet the staff, learn a bit of sign language and indulge in a delicious treat. Homemade cards and handicrafts, books and DVDs are also available.
