Regional Projects
In additional to the projects coordinated by Kampot Interact, there are also many other self funded, community projects within Kampot, and elsewhere in Cambodia, that need support. A sample of these are listed below - click on the links for more information.
- Cambodian Children's Advocacy Foundation (CCAF): The Cambodian Children's Advocacy Foundation (CCAF) is a Non-Governmental Organisation set up to help communities receive education, technical support/skill training and the means to establish income generating projects. Visit their web site to find out more.
- Epic Arts Cafe: This project provides opportunities for the deaf and disabled members of the community - providing employment in their great cafe, an exhibition space and coordinating dance/drama performances.
- Douglas Mendel Cambodian Relief Fund: The Douglas Mendel Cambodian Relief Fund assists up to 6 fire stations and 2 national parks around Cambodia as well as 2 organizations that help disadvantaged street children and disadvantaged Cambodians.
- Kampot Children's Fund (KCF): KCF aims to help poor and disadvantaged children in Kampot province with educational resources, transport, medical and nutritional needs, so they can complete their basic education.
- Peace Corps: In Kampot Province, four Peace Corps volunteers serve in Cambodian secondary schools teaching English, computer skills and AIDS education and extracurricular activities.

- Sahmakum Teang Tnaut: Teang Tnaut works with communities to help resolve infrastructure and housing issues in urban and semi-urban areas.
- Volunteer Services Overseas (VSO): The VSO is an international development organisation. More than 35 volunteers are working in Cambodia to support and advise on significant changes in the Education sector; such as encouraging more girls and disadvantaged children to enrol in school and all children to stay at school until they have achieved a basic education (year 1 to 9).
